Nail Mail!

Hi everyone! I’m super excited to share my goodies with you today that I received 2 days ago. This is my first order from bloom.com and I only paid $5 for a $40 voucher off gilt.com I think. It was when they offered new members free $15. So the voucher originally cost $20 plus free shipping. Total I paid around $7 for 4 bottles of polishes. Win! I’ll just get to it!

Here are the samples that I selected.

This is from OPI New York City Ballet Collection 2012 Don’t Touch My Tutu!

This is from the same collection Barre My Soul.

This is from the Spring/Summer Holland Collection 2012 Did You ‘ear About Van Gogh?

This is from the Zoya Surf Collection 2012 Zuza.

This is from the Zoya Beach 2012 Collection Wednesday.

The Zoyas look very different for some reason. Maybe because of the lighting? It was dark when I opened the box. I’ll update when I actually wear them over the summer. In the photos I am wearing OPI Tickle My France-y. It looks quite beige-y and freshly fleshy but it’s just the lighting.

For my current mani, I am wearing Don’t Touch My Tutu! sandwiched with 2 layers of Essie Set in Stones from the Luxeffects Holiday Collection 2011.

I love jellies! I also love the depth that the layering gives. I would have never purchased the NYC Ballet Collection if not for Scrangie’s review. I love her site! You should check it out if you haven’t yet. Well that’s all I have for today! I gotta pack up and head for SF tonight for my friend’s 24th birthday celebration! I am oober excited! Have a wonderful afternoon and thanks for reading!

OPI Tickle My France-y

Hi everyone. I’ve been into polish lately so I thought I’d share with you another bottle from my collection. Now I know OPI Tickle My France-y has many reviews and swatches already but I must say, Tickle My France-y is quite an oddball. From the Fall 2008 Collection de France, it is considered a pinky nude. For me, I can’t say it’s truly a nude. It looks more of a dirty dusty pink. In certain lights, the color changes dramatically from dusty rose pink in the sunlight to a nude indoors.

My photos aren’t the best and excuse the bubbles. I was in a rush when I did this mani.  This one is near the window on a cloudy day.

And the third photo is indoors away from the window.

In my opinion, this polish won’t necessarily give anyone true mannequin hands. It’s too pink. Although I am a lover of nudes and beiges, I am still looking for my nude HG. For now, this isn’t necessary my go-to polish when I want a nude mani. I stick with OPI DS Classic and Barefoot in Barcelona for now which are more golden and tan. What do you think of Tickle My France-Y? Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Zoya Rina

Hi everyone! Today’s post will be about nail polish. From the Zoya Gems and Jewels Holiday Collection 2011, Rina! Image

Now I’ve had this polish for a while but never got around to using it until this past week. I’ve had it on for about 5 days with minor chips around the edges of my nails. This polish is glitter, glitter, glitter! With holographic and green bar glitter, it was so easy to apply. Since I didn’t have a base coat, I used 2 coats of Revlon Barely Peach, 1 coat of a frankened grass green polish and 2 coats of Rina with 2 layers of top coat. I think I could have built it up just by itself but glitter is a pain to take off! I went through 4 cotton balls!

This is how Rina looks in the shade.

Ahem, excuse my dry cuticles! That day I was in a rush to head to San Jose! That’s all for today’s post! Let me know what you think of this polish! Have a wonderful day!

Promised photos

I know it’s late at night and I should be sleeping. So a month ago I sent out my Christian Louboutin Biancazips to NYC for heel repairs and they were sent back to me. Poor me, I waited all day until 2:30p, thinking the UPS man will drop by after 4pm so my housemate could answer the door. But no, he came around 3pm after I took a much needed nap. Hopefully by tomorrow I will get my shoe back and reunite it with its sole-mate! (Pun intended.)

So my SO received his computer back from his parents so now I can finally upload photos I promised of my holographic nude manicure.

This is 2 coats of OPI Barefoot in Barcelona and layered with Sally Hansen Prisms Diamond. Right now I’m looking into polishes that contain holographic pigment such as China Glaze FYI and Butter London All Hail the Queen. That’s all for tonight! Thanks for reading!

My current lemmings.

I don’t know what is up with me lately but I’ve got a thing for nude and holo polishes.  What’s even better is holographic nudes! Let me share a story with you guys.  A couple weeks back I was thrifting and stumbled upon (drum roll please!) OPI DS Classic! It’s so pretty and holo-y. It cost me 4.21 total! Such a steal whrn prices on eBay go for 5 and up. So sad it’s a scatter and not linear but it’s still pretty as it is.  More of a golden tan than a nude but it works well for most skin tones.

Right now I am currently searching for Color Club Love ’em Leave ’em, Gosh holographic, China Glaze FYI, Butter London All Hail the Queen and HITS Olimpo Hefesto. Yummy. My current mani – OPI Barefoot in Barcelona from the Fall 2009 Collecion de España layered with Sally Hansen Prisms Diamond. Two layers for OPI and 1 for SH. I promise photos when I get my laptop in working condition again! My HP Touchpad takes the crappiest photos and these polishes are just too awesome in real life. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Once I get the hang of this, I will start doing giveaways and blog sales. Have an awesome evening! XO!

Hello blog world!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Pa and I reside in the sunny west coast side of the US. Please bare with me through thick and thin as this is my first time blogging. Any tips and questions to make my blog life easier (or harder haha) would be highly appreciated. I will blog about many interests and ideas that have overflood my mind. I can’t wait to share them all with you.

First off, I’d like to make an announcement. I was browsing through my local Grocery Outlet maybe a week ago and happened upon a line full of the hard to find Sally Hansen Prisms nail polishes which came in a pack of 5. There was at least 15 packs just sitting there, hidden in a corner. Yes, I know I am late at making this announcement but I felt like I was the first to discover them. Check out your local GO. They might be gone by now, but you never know. I bought 2 packs which had Diamond, Blush Diamond, South Sea Pearl, Fire Opal and a second smaller bottle of Blush Diamond. They sadly didn’t have the Lapis Amethyst I dearly wanted. I haven’t swatched them as I am currently wearing another polish but I have seen swatches from other blogs. When I do get the chance, I will start posting photos I promise! So until next time!

Love, Pa
